How This Started

Since 2003

Physician Prosperity didn't start as a product. It started with a problem we kept seeing up close.

For over two decades, we worked directly alongside physician contract attorneys — supporting physicians through the contract review and negotiation process from the business and operations side. We saw the same patterns emerge across thousands of agreements: physicians who didn't know what to look for, employers who relied on that knowledge gap, and contracts that cost doctors money, autonomy, and career flexibility they didn't realize they were giving up.

Sarah Laws has spent over 20 years working at the intersection of law, medicine, and business strategy. Since 2003, she has partnered directly with physician contract attorneys to build the systems and processes that support physicians through employment contract review and negotiation.

Her work has been hands-on and operational — analyzing contract structures, identifying patterns across thousands of agreements, developing benchmarking methodologies, and building the technology infrastructure that makes fast, thorough contract analysis possible at scale.

Sarah co-founded Physician Prosperity with attorney Dennis Hursh, Esq., drawing on his four decades of physician contract law experience to develop the analytical framework at the core of Contract Guard MD®.
