Maine County Medical Societies

In Maine, the traditional county-based medical societies have largely been replaced by a more centralized structure under the Maine Medical Association (MMA). In 2011, the MMA transitioned from a county medical society-based House of Delegates to a General Membership model, streamlining governance and unifying physician representation across the state.
